Mideval England is a sensible nuthouse, with an inexplicable French rook, a vague Knight who hold outs to run up even wh en all his limbs are lost, and the local peasants refuse to acknowledge Arthurs kinghood, choosing instead to live in a put across society. Fortunately, Arthur manages to gather to prevailher a good deal of knights (from the dastardly Brave Sir Robin to the daft Sir Lancelot) and receives a collect from divinity (who finds it soooo depressing) to find the Holy Grail. Its difficult to explain what, exactly, makes the Monty Python society so hysterical. Part of it has to do with their ability to talk dizzy things to expiration (as evidenced in the first scene, when twain castle guards generate debating how swallows could migrate a coconut far spousal blood enough for Arthur to find).
